Support Workers are key to adults with additional needs living a more independent life. Our team support adults with varying aspects of their lives, from daily living skills to emotional support and trips away.
Every day is different, but what never changes is the desire to support adults in flourishing, achieving, and advocating for their wants, needs, and wishes.
A Support Worker in Adult Services may be based in one of our residential homes, or in our supported living services where adults live in their own homes. Some of our younger adults attend college; others may be in employment. Each adult is different, and their support is personalised to them, so what you do each day may change.
Support Workers in Adult Services come from a range of backgrounds. Some have worked in social care before, others have been chefs, worked in media or spent their time caring for children and family. Each Team Member brings something unique to the role; our differences make us great!
All we ask is that you have an interest in adult social care and a willingness to learn. As long as you are caring, empathetic, resilient, and want to spend your time improving the lives of others, we can train everything else.
We provide a wide variety of training including the Care Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care. We cover all mandatory skills needed to be a great Support Worker, as well as additional and bespoke courses based on individual needs.
Your line manager will listen to your career aspirations and discuss the many avenues adult social care can take. Current and previous Team Members have successfully transitioned into other roles, such as leadership, operations, quality assurance, and training.
