    Salary: Between £24,249.60 ad £24,277.84 based on working 40 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year 

    Contract Type: Permanent – Term Time Only

    As our administrator, you’ll be the warm smile that people are greeted by and the friendly voice they hear at the end of the telephone. Being the first and last point of contact for visitors, creating a positive lasting impression of Ysgol Ty Monmouth.

    You’ll be key to keeping the gears turning, supporting staff members, attending meetings, keeping accurate school records and ensuring the school is running smoothly day to day. You’ll be the glue that holds it all together both inside and outside of the school, making sure things continue to run like a well-oiled machine and being a crucial role model for the Phoenix Values.

    A day in the life of an Administrator will involve:

    • You’ll spend time supporting the school and ensuring it runs smoothly day to day. Working closely with the teachers, the therapy team and teaching assistants with any support they require and to ensure inclusion and safeguarding takes place across the school.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, when parents call in, you’ll be the first voice they here. You’ll be logging when pupils are absent, taking enquiries about prospective pupils, and being the first friendly face visitors see when they sign in.
    • You’ll attend employee meetings, as directed including supervisions, appraisals etc. taking accurate minutes during meetings, distributing and maintaining records.
    • Play a crucial role in maintaining accurate school records, assisting with inspections, audits and taking the necessary steps to ensure confidentiality of records & information in day-to-day communication. You’ll also need to understand when certain information may need to be passed on and escalated.
     
    To be a successful Administrator, you’ll need:
    • Great communication – verbal and written communication are important in this role as you will often be the first point of contact for pupils, parents/carers and other Education professionals.
    • Experience of working in an educational settings or school, with an understanding of the needs of SEMH/SEBD/SEN children including managing and challenging behaviours.
    • A friendly, professional, and polite manner, providing a high standard of customer service to both internal and external parties.
    • Attention to detail along with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks within a busy environment.
    • A working knowledge of Microsoft systems such as word, excel and teams.
